A flush of garden giant (wine cap) mushrooms in the mulch bed this week. Put the spawn around some blueberries last fall (spawn ordered from Field and Forest). Put strawberries in there too for a perennial food bed. Should get garden giants for a few years. Harvested 7 lb. this week. Dried most of them, grilled a few large caps today for an Easter Sunday cookout.
Just ordered pearl oyster mushroom plug spawn from Everything Mushroom. $12 plus $6 shipping for 100. Hope to harvest 5 lb next fall.
